Scar and Stretch Mark Camouflage

Many don’t know about the medical side of tattooing. Paramedical cosmetic tattoos help to camouflage scars, burns, stretch marks, birthmarks and other skin imperfections resulting from surgeries and injuries. Micropigmentation can also be used to break up scar tissue and restore skin color for a more natural appearance.

Permanent cosmetics can disguise scars and discolorations from cleft palate, birthmarks, non-pigmented age spots, and cosmetic surgeries including face lifts, tummy tucks, hair transplants and more.

Consultations are necessary for this procedure. If you will be traveling far for this procedure we can do a consultation over the phone. The ideal candidate for scar or stretch mark camouflage is someone who’s scars and/or stretch marks are hypopigmented – meaning white. However we have multiple options for those with dark, pink or purple scars and/or stretch marks as well. This is one reason a consult is required.

Surgical scars must be a minimum of 6 months old to book a consultation for rejuvenation and a minimum of one year old to book a consultation for tattooing. Other scars and stretch marks treatment time will vary case by case.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this treatment remove the scar or stretch marks?
Other than a surgery where skin is literally removed, or a scar revision, there is no way to remove them. The procedures we do help to disguise the appearance of them and rejuvenate them which helps with texture, size and more.

Can I get the treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Unfortunately, we are unable to treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Call us when you’re all done!

What happens to the tattoo when I get a tan?
The tattoo doesn’t change, but your skin color does. We recommend getting it done when you are not tanned so that it isn’t darker than your skin when you don’t have a tan. Our custom blend will look natural whether you have a tan or not, so long as you aren’t tan while we do the tattoo.

What is the downtime?
This is a case by case situation as far as the appearance of the treated area, and also depends which procedure we did. However physically, you will be fine and able to return to work even the same day if you wanted. During your consultation, we can discuss and assess your skin’s estimated timeline and variables.

What is the cost of the procedure?
This is a case by case situation as well but we have a minimum price of $399 no matter how small the scar. Stretch marks range from $500 to $2,000 per area.

Are consults free?
Yes! They sure are. $50 deposit required to book a consultation which will either be refunded or applied to the cost of the procedure should you choose to move forward with us.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! It doesn’t cost anything to apply, and it doesn’t check credit, only your bank account to see if you’ve had any overdraft fees within the past 90 days. Everyone gets three months at zero interest, then depending on the plan you choose (6 months or 12 months), interest will be 9% or 15%. Click here to see if you’re approved for financing!
