What is Areola Repigmentation?
As part of Cosmetic Aesthetics support for Breast Cancer awareness and research, we perform areola tattooing FREE of charge if the procedure is not already covered by your insurance provider.
Unfortunately breast cancer survivors sometimes must make the difficult decision to remove their nipples when undergoing a mastectomy or breast reconstruction due to breast cancer. A natural looking nipple can be achieved through areola tattooing (or repigmentation) in which case a 3d areola and nipple can be replicated by means of permanent cosmetics and medical micropigmentation techniques.
In many cases, insurance may cover some or even ALL of the cost of this procedure. As this is a delicate and intricate procedure, our lead artist Taryn Quinterri will always perform this procedure herself. If insurance will not cover the cost, Cosmetic Aesthetics will pay for the entire procedure as we wish to give back and ensure that every woman, even cancer survivors feel beautiful and, “love the skin they’re in.”
This technique is difficult and should not be performed by anyone who isn’t licensed and professionally trained in areola tattoo application. Call Cosmetic Aesthetics of Phoenix today to get a free consultation on this procedure and learn more about the ways we contribute to the fight against breast cancer.
